Who we are
Bookfront is a Canadian business in Alberta. We build and host websites with online booking for local service shops. Email hello@bookfront.ca or call (877) 798-5566. This policy follows the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.
What we collect
From a shop owner: name, email, phone, city, business name, services, prices, staff names and hours. From a person who books: name, phone, email and the appointment time. We do not ask for health notes. We do not store card numbers. Stripe processes the payment.
Why we collect it
To build the site, take bookings, send the confirmation and the reminder texts the person asked for by booking, charge the fees in the terms, and answer support questions. We do not sell personal information.
Texts and email
Booking messages are service texts about a visit the person requested: a confirmation, reminders the day before and the morning of, and a notice if they reschedule or cancel. A person opts in by giving their mobile number when they book, and can reply STOP to stop or HELP for help; message and data rates may apply. We do not share mobile numbers with third parties for marketing. A marketing text, like a win-back offer, goes out only with separate consent and always says who it is from and how to stop. Who helps us
Supabase hosts the database. Resend sends email. Twilio sends text messages. Stripe takes payment. If a shop adds the AI receptionist, Retell handles those calls. They process information only so we can provide the service. The AI tells callers it is automated. AI tools that we do not own may draft the words and the layout of a shop's site. We do not send a visitor's browsing history to those tools.
How long we keep it
While the shop's subscription is active. After cancellation we delete or return the shop's client list within 30 days, except records we have to keep for tax or to answer a dispute.
Your choices
You can ask to see your information, correct it, or withdraw consent. Some information is required to run the booking, so withdrawing it may close the service. Write to hello@bookfront.ca or call (877) 798-5566.
Cookies
The site remembers the language you picked and, on the request form, the answers you already typed, in storage on your device. A person who only looks at the pages is not added to a list. We do not run advertising trackers.
